Hometown Days Community Stage, May 17-18
As a major sponsor of this year's Centennial Hometown Days, the Community Foundation is delighted to collaborate with the City of San Carlos to bring you the new Community Stage, a showcase of local talent.
Come join us at the Youth Center Gym for two full days featuring local performers. You'll hear the voices of local singers, witness the graceful movements of dancers, the rhythmic beats of drummers, and the exquisite artistry of a calligrapher visiting all the way from our Sister City, Omura, Japan.
For those eager to discover the rising stars among our youth, our stage is the perfect spot. You’ll be delighted by the performances of the San Carlos Children's Theater and the charming Broadway Babies, alongside the harmonious youth choirs led by Emily Bender and Sara Murphy.
Are you a dance enthusiast? Then you won't want to miss the displays of skill from the young performers from the Coastside Dance School, Heartbeat Academy, and Dance Expressions as they take the stage.
Our local teens from Carlmont and Sequoia High Schools will also be there to entertain you with their impressive drumming, musical chops, and smooth jazz melodies. And prepare to be moved by the powerful vocals of local opera singer, Avanthika Swaminathan.
Rounding out our diverse lineup, you'll be treated to traditional dances of Casa Circulo, the San Carlos Sitaras, as well as Chinese dances presented by Frequency of Apple from the Adult Community Center.
