We invite you to a Saturday Morning forum to find out what we’ve learned this week, to share more stories from these workshops and trainings, and to talk about any next steps community participants would like to take.
What better way to finish out a week of learning and thinking about bullying than to spend an evening on Laurel Street, listening to the local talent share their music and good humor?
Youth and Social Media is one of the hot-button issues of our times. When should kids get cell phones? How do we help them navigate an often perilous on-line world?
Want to learn how to stand up for yourself and your friends when someone is a bully?

Join us at City Hall at 7 pm as our City Council helps create awareness around the important topic of inclusion and anti-bullying.
Join the Reach And Teach bookshop team for an inclusive event where local teachers can enjoy complimentary refreshments, explore anti-bullying resources, participate in cooperative games, and receive a $5 gift card before walking together to City Hall for the United Against Hate - Inclusion Program Proclamation.
You’re invited to a community supper to talk about “Inclusion.” For the last several years, the Foundation has presented programs during the nation-wide campaign “United Against Hate.” This year after listening to San Carlos residents and leaders, the issue of bullying arose as one of particular concern, especially (but not limited) to our youth.
The San Carlos Farmers Market happens in downtown San Carlos every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM. However, on this day, the Community Foundation will be there for you.
The San Carlos community comes from all around the city every Sunday to gather, and to shop for produce, crafts, and other goods. There are also food trucks, live music, and sometimes a fun train for the kiddos to ride in!
Our board and volunteers will be present for you to learn more about the Foundation.
Talk to us about anything, including:
What do we do?
How can you help?
What ideas do you have for improving our community?
Are there any volunteer opportunities?
Or, feel free to just stop by and hang out for a few minutes. We’d love to talk to you!

This is a special first-time event where the Community Foundation is hosting a roundtable discussion for non-profits in the area, to help them discuss and potentially find solutions for the various challenges that only non-profits face.
This is an invitation-only event. If you run a non-profit and would like to attend, please email Sandy Kraft (sandy@sancarloscf.org).
Lunch will be included, so please RSVP by Tuesday, 6/18.
Michelle Fries, the Director of Community Action for the Silicon Valley Community Foundation will speak for about 20 minutes about the SVCF, grantmaking, and their support of nonprofits. She leads the grantmaking strategy for their foundation to support the sustainability of organizations in San Mateo and Santa Clara County. Maybe you can get some insights to help inform your future grant applications.

Most of the time will be devoted to helping the nonprofit EDs get to know the other local EDs and to an open discussion of topics of interest to them. Our hope is that this may become a regular event.
We will provide the tables, chairs and a DJ to set the mood. + You bring your friends, family and a willingness to mingle. It’s a community-wide block party!!
The San Carlos Sister Cities Association is proud to present a collaborative public mural project, ~Blossoms~ International Friendship here in Sister City Lane.
