Spring 2021 Grant Round
The Community Foundation of San Carlos will begin accepting applications for its Spring 2021 grant round on April 1, 2021. All applications must be completed by end of day (11:59 pm) April 21, 2021 to be considered. Award decision notifications will be sent on May 28, 2021. The Community Foundation Grants Committee may reach out with follow-up questions during the review process. The Community Foundation of San Carlos plans to distribute ~$50,000 in this Spring round of grants, with a maximum of $10,000 per receiving organization for the calendar year. Eligibility
Grants are available for 501(c)(3) nonprofits [or community groups or individuals that are fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3)] that meet the needs of community members who live, work, learn, and play in San Carlos. All nonprofits serving San Carlos community members during this time of need are strongly encouraged to apply. If you have any questions please email grants@sancarloscf.org .
What we’re looking for
Our scoring criteria for this round is based upon several factors, including benefit to the San Carlos community, impact, and effectiveness of programs. The Spring 2021 round will prioritize initiatives that address:
(1) Basic Needs (including mental health), particularly for low-income individuals,
(2) Racial Justice and Social Equity, and
(3) Community Building and Social Connectedness, and how well the organization empowers community members toward resilience.
Grant Reporting
Upon receiving a grant, the Community Foundation of San Carlos requires a short grant report on the use and impact of funds to be completed no more than 180 days after utilizing grant funds.
