On May 15, 2021, there will be several "Communities United" rallies in the region to fight for the empowerment and safety of all marginalized groups. The effort is being led by the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs group.

San Carlos Mayor, Laura Parmer-Lohan will be speaking at the rally.
