Day 12: Unhoused

For the next few days we will explore the issues of intersectionality.  Intersectionality definition: the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage.

We tend to think that homelessness and housing insecurity are simply caused by poverty, that they are simply due to a person’s inability to pay rent. Of course, there is more to it than that.
